About Natalie

Early Life
Natalie grew up in the small town of New Hyde Park on Long Island in New York. With the close proximity to the arts mecca of New York City, Natalie always felt at home. From the young, tender age of 7, her parents gave her the incredible gift of music— voice and piano lessons. She grew up passionate about music and performance, with her first major solo performance singing the National Anthem for the NY Mets at Shea Stadium at 7 years old. Through her teen years, she went on to perform on a television show in Los Angeles called “Live In Hollywood” on the FOX Network, singing Céline Dion in front of a live studio audience. She performed in the Knicks Talent Competition at Madison Square Garden during halftime for the NY Knicks, singing and playing Billy Joel on the piano. Natalie won first place in this competition, and had the opportunity to sing in front of thousands of people at 14 years old. As a budding musician, she also sang with the Metropolitan Youth Choir as a soloist at Lincoln Center, as well as Carnegie Hall.

A Passion for Music Education
Throughout her life, Natalie embraced her inner conglomerate rock as a Singer-Songwriter, Teaching Artist, Composer/Arranger, and Pianist. Her most recent degree is a Master of Arts in Music & Music Education at Columbia University. On the college level, she is currently on Voice Faculty at Molloy College, teaching private lessons in Music Theatre Voice for the Molloy/CAP 21 Theatre Arts program. She continues her passion for elementary and secondary choral education, directing Vocal Technique Across Genres for the not-for-profit organization Every Voice Choirs. She is also a Vocal Technique Coach for Musical Theatre College Auditions (MTCA), as well as the business owner of her own studio, teaching voice, piano, and songwriting lessons to students age 6 to 60.

Natalie as Singer-Songwriter
As a Singer-Songwriter, Natalie performed on the New York stages of The Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall, Birdland, The Living Room, Cornelia Street Café, the Metropolitan Room, Don’t Tell Mama’s, Cleopatra's Needle, and the Solar1 Stage. Most recently, she performed a show for Sofar Sounds Long Island, singing and playing her original music to a warm, intimate audience. She also performed as a soloist at the Hard Rock Cafe for the benefit concert, Rocktober Fest. This performance featured all original music and marked the first time her name was featured on a marquis in Times Square. Her most recent musical endeavor is taking place as we speak. In October 2022, Natalie traveled to Nashville to record her first EP, Wings, composed of six original songs. This was under the direction of Grammy-nominated producer, Paul Moak, with engineering by Zack Zinck. The project features the breathtaking musicianship of Nathan Sexton, Kevin Whitestt, Charlie Lowell, Paul Moak, Kris Donegan, Eleanore Denig, and Cara Fox. ‍

The Journey of Wings
Wings takes the listener on a journey of letting go of the hurt from the past and blossoming into a new woman— one who is not afraid to put her heart on the line for love, or pursue the endeavors that bring her happiness. The title song, “Wings,” is an homage to falling in love and the way it can inspire and invigorate a person, featuring the key lyric: “I gave him my heart, love gave me my wings.” The second track, “Burn Bridge, Burn,” tells a story of regret when processing the end of a relationship. “Messy” is tongue-in-cheek, a playful and romantic ditty on escaping to a getaway with a lover. “Magnolia” reveals the fears of falling in love when heartbreak is at stake, describing love as a “trust fall.” “Sometimes” hearkens to a long-distance separation from a lover. The EP concludes with “The Dreamer In Me," which reminds us to listen to that “voice in the background” and chase the dreams we’re often afraid of.

The Singer-Songwriter EP soars with strings, acoustic instrumentation, a bit of twang, and piano-driven ballads. It embraces multiple genres, and showcases the influences of Natalie’s diverse musical experience. Wings reveals the pangs of heartbreak, the butterflies of true head-over-heels love, the longing of the dreams that were once left behind. Natalie provides a soundtrack for growth and coming into one’s own skin with a newfound confidence and vulnerability. Her sparkling, warm, and timeless voice possesses a magnificent depth and sweetness. It’s a voice that tugs at the heartstrings, and combined with her honest song lyrics and heartfelt melodies, it is clear that Natalie is free and unbridled. Now let’s see where these “wings” can go…
